Workshop X in collaboration with Global Creative Management, a creative training consultancy from London, are presenting this new online course 'Fashion Product Development'. Designed and delivered by Paula Wilson, who is a leading garment technologist and brand owner, this course will give you a good overview of production processes and how to get your garment from design to shop-floor.
This Workshop is for those starting a fashion label, or those who already own a fashion label but need to understand more about manufacturing. You will gain an understanding of product development and production procedures, from working drawings and sampling through to manufacture and quality inspections. You will also learn how to source and assess the right factories for your product and professionalize your production processes.

About the instructor:
Paula Wilson is an expert in product development and sourcing with almost 20 years’ experience in multi-product apparel manufacturing worldwide. Prior to setting up her global consultancy Fashion Delivered several years ago, she worked for companies across the board from Nike to Global Brands Group, high street through to luxury, and has a highly valuable skillset when it comes to supporting and developing fashion businesses.
A post graduate of London College of Fashion, Paula is a pioneer of digital fashion technology and has taken part in many research projects involving 3D garment simulation, co-design and on demand manufacturing. Her specialisms with regards to product development and sourcing cover design, garment specifications, fit, ethical compliance, critical path management, quality control and margin optimization, to name just a few.
